Mr. Jean Abi-Jaoude was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1958 and completed his Primary and Secondary studies in Arabic, English and French. He attended York University in Toronto, Canada and received a degree in 1983 in Biological and Computer Sciences. He later attended Rutgers University in New Jersey to pursue advanced database studies.

After an early IT career in Canada at PepsiCo, Prudential Securities and Ultramar Oil Company, Mr. Abi-Jaoude moved to New Jersey, USA in 1986 and joined AT&T - IT division and Bell Labs.At AT&T and Lucent Technologies, he focused on Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence systems. In 1995, he designed, prototyped and led a team of 20 developers to implement the first Data Warehouse System at AT&T (OWINS), which revolutionized the way management interacted and analyzed data. For his work, he received many awards & accolades.

In 1997, he left AT&T and Lucent Technologies and founded Infocrest Solutions, a consulting and training firm based in Los Angeles, California. Infocrest's focus was on building Data Warehouses using ETL technology led by Informatica. From 1997 until 2002, Informatica Corporation contracted Mr. Abi-Jaoude and his firm to train and help implement its ETL solutions. Currently, Infocrest solutions is still going very strong in the US and is the leading training and consulting firm on Informatica Platform.

In 2010, sensing the unmet need for Data Integration Technologies in the Middle East, Mr. Abi-Jaoude established Maaloomatiia (Arabic word for Informatica) in Beirut, Lebanon and became an Informatica distributor for the Levant region. Maaloomatiia won the New Distributor of the Year award for 2011 by signing Byblos Bank, Bank of Beirut and Bank Audi as clients.

In May of 2012, Mr. Abi-Jaoude expanded his work to the Gulf region by launching Maaloomatiia Arabian Gulf based in the Emirate of Dubai. He looks forward to establishing Maaloomatiia as the premier Consulting and Training firm for Data Integration and Business Intelligence Solutions led by Informatica Technology.
- Mr. Abi-Jaoude is married to Katia Karkafi with whom they have three beautiful and active children: Julian (10), Amanda (8) and Tiffany (5).
